10. Wolf Children (2012)


Hana falls in love with a guy who turns out to be a werewolf. Soon after the birth of their child, he is killed while on a hunt. Hana raises her children, daughter Yuki and the son Ame as a single mother. She moves the family to the countryside in order to protect them from people as they can switch between their human and wolf forms.

9. Grave of the Fireflies(1988)


Grave of the Fireflies is based on the 1967 semi-autobiographical short story Grave of the Fireflies by Akiyuki Nosaka.
