In December 2000, former Tottenham defender Ledley King scored the fastest goal in Premier League history. Having taken the kick-off himself, King found himself just 25 yards from the goal and struck the ball hard and a wicked deflection carried it straight into the back of the net.
4. Roy Makaay
Bayern Munich v Real Madrid: 10 seconds
After receiving a cross from Hasan Salihamidžić, former Bayern Munich striker Roy Makaay just took 10 seconds to hit the back of the net making it the fastest ever Champions League goal. Bayern Munich went on to defeat Real Madrid and knock them out of the competition.

New York Red Bulls v Houston Dynamo: 7 seconds
Tim Cahill is credited with scoring the fastest goal in MLS history in just 7 seconds. After the kick-off, the ball was passed to Dax McCarty, who launched it towards Cahill. He caught the ball and shot it over the goalkeeper’s head and into the back of the net.
2. Nawaf Al Abed
Al-Hilal v Al Shoalah: 2.4 seconds
With the time of just 2.4 seconds, Nawaf Al Abed is credited with scoring one of the fastest goals in the planet. In a game against Al Shoalah, he spotted the goalkeeper out of position and took a shot from the midfield and the ball ended up in the net and Al Hilal went on to win the game 4-0.

Playing for Cowes Sport, Marc Burrows scored an incredible goal in just 2 seconds against Eastleigh. He spotted the goalkeeper off his line and shot straight from the kick-off after one of his colleagues set him up. With the wind behind the ball, it landed straight into the net.
